Beware of snakes
Salam and good day,
I was waiting for Farid to post this subject but I think he's been busy lately. Apparently few weeks ago, one of our newly moved neighbor found a cobra 'resting' at his porch. Details are sketchy but Bomba was called to get it removed. The house affected is the one facing the afternoon sun in front of the padang.
Rajinder also told me that he has killed a few baby snakes. He believed they are cobras too.
Pls be extra careful.
Some tips to avoid these creatures
1/ Clear all undergrowth in your area.
2/ Get your neighbors of the unoccupied lots to clear their unkempt lawns. If any of them cannot be contacted, I suggest buy a bottle of weed killer from the hardware store and spray at their lawns. If it's a corner lot, I suggest to lodge a report to MBSA if the owner cannot be detected.
3/ Put sulphur (belerang) at strategic locations. However, sulphur is known to release fumes and it can kill the plants if placed too near.
4/ Place wood plank at the gaps of the front and rear doors.
5/ My mom's petua - plant a lot of pineapple trees as snakes do not like them. Not sure how true the theory is.
Any other tips????
